Belly up to the bar at Jim Mamary’s & David Pitula’s hip new brainchild for awesome food for which they’re known plus fine beers, wine, and a full range of cocktails. Meet with friends. Enjoy your favorite sports events and other popular entertainment on two big flat screens. All just a short stroll from the “Q” ― at the corner of Newkirk & Argyle, smack in Brooklyn’s cozy Ditmas Park.
Forging new neighborhood tradition, Ox Cart Tavern also pays homage to old ones. Our name conjures up the year 1937 when Old Ox Cart Beer was made at Standard Brewing Company in Rochester, NY. Our image is aptly represented by vintage painting completed way back in 1884 and appropriately named “The Ox Cart,” by Netherlandish master Vincent Van Gogh ― respectfully chosen to reflect Ditmas Park’s large Dutch settlement history.
